A long anticipated session in the park

This is one of my Littlest Hero's Project sessions. I have been so lucky to find the project and be able to give the gift of photography to these amazing families. I felt like I knew this family before ever arriving at the location. This session is near and very dear to my heart...I have a brother with down syndrome and this brought back so many memories for me. This family is blessed with little Brayden and it was very clear how much he adored them all. For anyone who has had a family member or friend with Trisomy 21, you know first hand the blessing and challenges they face daily. I just want to say that this family has embraced the challenge and knows the blessing. Here is a few of my favorites from our session. I hope mom loves them. I cannot thank this family enough for the opportunity to capture their family. I just wanted to take Brayden in my arms and hug him so tight. He is one very special little Hero!!!!!!

I had the opportunity to meet and hang out for an hour with Makenna and her family. She contacted me through the Littlest Heros Project. Makenna was born with a heart condition and has needed multiple open heart surgeries. Her mom told me she was shy, but this little girl warmed up to me and we had a great time. She showed me how she loved to climb the trees in her back yard and hang from the ropes. She was such a warm sweet girl along with her entire family. I just want to thank this family..I left with such a wonderful feeling of appreciation for all the simple things in our daily life. What a wonderful family she has.

I have been so bad at updating my blog. I am working on getting my website up and working my other job a lot. I wish I could just do photography full time! That is my dream and goal. This little guy is six months old and had the most gorgeous eyes...I kept thinking oh how lucky am I to photograph this baby! Here is a few from today's session. I had to take one of his 19 month old big brother too. Here is your peek at your photo's mom.

Tanner adores his daddy!

Friday we had such pretty sunshine Tanner and I went outside with a blanket and some toys, we played and took photos until his daddy came home. I took these shots in order. His face shows the love he has for his daddy. I promise he loves me too, i'm just always behind the camera.
This was when he saw his daddy's truck pull up in front of our house! I love this ear to ear happiness.

Then he smiles as daddy walks up and starts to crawl to him

And here daddy bends down to pick up his little buddy! I admit my heart was overflowing with emotion. I love that I captured this all on camera.

I took a few photos for my friend of her little girl. She looks much bigger than the first newborn photos I took of her. She was not sure how she felt about being outside in her yard, but we managed to get some cute ones one this cloudy day.

This couple was so sweet and their daughter can be described in one word precious. Her mom dressed her so cute a photographers dream come true. We did these at and around their home. Caroline their daughter just turned one years old. I'm very thankful for the opportunity to shoot such a picture perfect family! And thank the weather for giving us a break in the rain this morning.

I’m very excited to announce that i have just been accepted as one of the photographers for the littlest heroes project! i am proud to join forces with an amazing team of photographers who donate their time + talents to this worthy organization. the littlest heroes project is a non-profit organization that matches photographers with families of children suffering from serious illnesses and/or life altering disabilities. through complimentary photo sessions, the project aims to capture the happiness + love of the children and their families - showing the children that they are true heroes to so many people! the project honors their bravery and their struggle by sharing their inspirational stories + photos with the world. I currently am working with two families and can not wait to meet them and do a session with their Littlest Hero!

It is hard to explain how fast this year has gone by. I feel like we have been blessed with him and like I have learned so much about love,patience,myself,my spouse and oh just on and on. I literally thank God for him everyday. I know now the reason I was put here on earth and that was to be the mom that this little guy so deserves. So with out rambling on forever and getting all teary eyed. Here is my baby's first birthday invitation. I love you little boy with all my heart and more!!

I just love chucks on little boys! I was picking up all of Tanner's toys in his room and sat these little shoes on his little blue chair. That chair was mine when i was a little girl and it had been painted red. You can see the paint chipping off to reveal the red from my childhood days. I kept looking at them sitting there in the morning light and had to take this photo!

Because I love the photo style of modern vintage and this chair is vintage and so am I...here is a couple more of Tanner's chuck on my old ..his new chair..with of course a vintage feel.

I found this quote and thought it was perfect, then I took this photo of my baby after his nap today. They are perfect together!

A childhood toy is so precious, I adore photos of a child in their room just playing. It's a sweet simple everyday capture to remember.

On location shoot with a sixteen month old cutie!

I had so much fun doing this shoot. We played chase and he loved hiding by his parents dining table in their sun room. The day was very foggy but I managed to get some great shots of this sweet guy. If I ever buy another home, I'm buying one with as much great lighting as this family has in their sun room.

We are super excited about this season! We feel so blessed to have Tanner in our life. We thank God for giving him to us. I have to admit I have been dying to photograph him on white with a Santa hat on. We tried this session a few times and he is such a fast crawler he just crawled off the paper. So many big thanks and hugs to Tanner's Great Grandma for her help, she acted silly so Tanner would look up and stay in one spot! Nana your the best and we love you so very much! Merry Christmas everyone and may this season bring you lots of Peace and Joy!!

I'm also totally excited about my new logo and name for my future photography business. I wanted to have a name that expressed all the feelings I felt when I was pregnant and Tanner would move and kick,when I first saw Tanner's little face the moment he was delivered. I feel this feeling every time I see his smile and when I hold his little body rocking him while he sleeps. That feeling to me is how I came up with my business name. Pure Bliss !!
